Report: Chris Johnson deal done, headed to camp
Adam Schefter, the inside scoop king, is reporting that the hold out of Chris Johnson has come to an end. The Titans offered Johnson around a 2.5 million dollar bonus adjustment to get their star RB back in camp. The deal adds no extra years so Johnson will most likely still be looking for a deal within the next year or two, and this looks to be more like a contract patch job as they can’t give him more due to the NFL 30% contract rule. Johnson lucked out because the deal seems to give him more than many experts predicted he could get due to the rule. Johnson looks to sign his deal soon and be on time for Titans camp. Congratulations Titans fans and players, you can now focus on rebounding this year and returning to your playoff potential in 2010.
